What was the highlight of Alua Illa de Menorca

A lovely stay

The view from the room was fantastic. Food in restaurant and drinks were good. Daytime and evening entertainment was incredible. Powerful shower and hairdryer.

Having a kettle in the room but no coffee/tea or milk. The pool side food was not covered and the flies constantly flying on the food we couldn't eat it. The all inclusive drinks finished an hour before the end of the night which cost more money but this was not communicated on arrival. How quiet some of the guests wanted the hotel to be including the entertainment in the evening.

Pleasant enough. Nice sea view, Food was good and plenty of it.

Well run clean hotel. Food was good. Plenty to choose from,. Breakfast, Lunch* and Dinner*. All the Staff very helpful. (Thanks Mandy, and the Waiters in the dining room). We did not use the pool. (*Purchased on the day 16and !8 Euros pp)

Room a little small. Did not like the shower over the bath, no room to move. (Both over 80) If you purchased , lunch or dinner, no coffee in the dining room. "We" did not like the inhouse entertainment next to the lounge bar, too loud, conversation impossible. Car park is "Public". Parking can be a problem when returning from a late night out, when in season. Lack of toilets once out of your room. The only place to get a drink during the day was the pool bar, in plastic mugs/cups. Lounge bar shut till 18.00. Coffee machines "Only" available to all inclusive !! , during the day,.

What was the highlight of Alua Illa de Menorca

Tranquil stay at a beautiful and amazing hotel

So very tranquil, the location is just surrounded by sleepy villas, no traffic, a beautiful little market for any provision you might have forgotten and everyone speaks fantastic English, french, Italian, (languages I detected being spoken). A short walk takes you to a rocky cove leading to the clear sea and a free shuttle bus takes you from the hotel to a white sandy beach. Evening entertainment for the kids and after the adults is a lovely touch too. The staff are attentive and make an effort to learn your name and welcome you with a smile too. If you stay make sure you get all inclusive, it was so nice having everything there.

Not really things I didn't like but rather would have liked to have had on top of the great all round experience. Itinerary for one would be great, with things happening at the hotel and where to go to access the amenities. We only learned on our last day that the hotels play park has a kids activity schedule with lots of different activities for them, this would have been so handy if we had access to things to do with your little one brochure or something... Also local information and sites of interest, again it was chatting with guests we learned you get a shuttle bus included at times to go to the city and beach and through our jaunt out we found some idyllic little walks and sights. This was the biggest draw that we just wanted to know everything and the staff are lovely but must get sick of being asked...also if you go to the beach the hotel will lend you a little parasol ! Such amazing touches, we'd have not known if guests hadn't told us !!! When we did want to get a local bus staff printed us an itinerary and we waited for the bus to find it was cash only so be warned take some cash (there is an ATM on the hotel).

Great breakfast, lovely pool, comfortable rooms

Staff were friendly and helpful but they seemed slightly short staffed. For example I asked for an iron and it wasn't sent to the room and there was usually a queue at reception. Walls were quite thin, could hear a lot from down the corridor.

Apart from the food thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we love the area.

Location is fab, have been coming to this area for the last 20 years and stayed in this hotel many times. Seen a lot of changes, rooms are lovely and bright with great views either mountain or sea. Swimming pool great size although noticed the smaller pool is now a children’s paddling pool. Staff very helpful and informative. Entertainment is good and facilities are good with the sports area across the road.

Although the chefs obviously try their hardest the food is not great. While there seems to be a lot of choice it is basically the same every mealtime with the odd difference thrown in now and again. Food items ran out and were not replaced, the food wasn’t very hot and the amount of different choices have changed and a lot of choices were missing e.g although there was fruit it was always melon, pineapple, grapefruit, tinned fruit, oranges occasionally plums or bananas. No grapes, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries. Biscuits to have with your cheese or in fact any blue cheese or Stilton.

Lively staff and good value but really felt we were getting the leftovers for the end of season.

Staff were really lovely, bed was really Comfortable and the main areas were clean and fresh. Excellent salad bar and nice breakfasts

We stayed as they were finishing up for the season. It really seemed like they were trying to use up all the leftovers. Deserts that consisted of yoghurt with random cereal on top. Lots of stuff would run out half way through service. They seemed short staffed and they couldn’t keep up with demand at meal times. I was really happy with the consistent salad bar but the range of food for vegetarians was not great! Finally… the alcohol in the all inclusive deals was heavily heavily watered down it seemed!
